Cynthia + Jesse Cannon Beach Elopement
Cynthia and Jesse planned their wedding day for the anniversary of the day they met, and they wanted a wedding day that reflected all of the gorgeous scenery that they love in the Pacific Northwest. They also wanted a space that would allow for them to have all of their friends and family along for the ride! I knew Cannon Beach and it’s surrounding areas would be an excellent choice, and we fit so many amazing places into this all day adventure!
Morning Portraits at Hug Point
We started with morning portraits at Hug Point, just a bit south of Cannon Beach. I love this beach for all of the cool rock formations- not just the famous cave and waterfall- but all of the little pockets of interesting geology.
We had a moody morning, which was just fine with me! A perfect representation of the beauty on the Oregon Coast.
Next, we wanted to get some more dramatic views for the couple’s private vows to each other. This was one of my favorite parts of the day!

Deep Green Forest
After “I dos” we continued our portrait time for a short walk among some of the majestic sitka spruce trees and gorgeous ferns on this coastal hiking trail.
Getting Ready at the Ocean Lodge
Morning adventures completed, it was time to return back to Ocean Lodge in Cannon Beach, where Alyssa with Alyssa Underwood Makeup Artistry was ready for us! Cynthia had a gorgeous veil which was so fun to style around their vow books and little details of the day. Jesse finished writing out his vows as Cynthia got ready to meet their guests and family for their formal ceremony.
Intimate Wedding in front of Haystack Rock
Ocean Lodge is one of my favorite hotels for weddings on Cannon Beach because it’s so close to Haystack Rock and it’s epic views! It was just a short walk over to our ceremony spot, and a great chance to greet guests. The weather was still moody but it was warm and beautiful on the beach.
Private Reception at The Bistro
The Bistro in Cannon Beach is the perfect space for a small reception! The owner, Chef Jack, came out to welcome the couple and their guests, and the party was under way! The food was delicious!
